Tulum Ruins

The Tulum Ruins are among the most photographed archaeological vestiges of the Mayan civilization due to their privileged location on a cliff next to the Mexican Caribbean sea. Explore the “walled city” and amaze with its mysticism. Located only 12 minutes away from Wakax Hacienda.

Coba

The city of Coba is one of the most impressive Mayan vestiges, and visiting is undoubtedly one of the best things to do in Tulum. Located only a 60-minute ride from Wakax Hacienda, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the enormous Nohoch Mul temple. There are a lot of cenotes in the surroundings that you can visit for a refreshing dip.

Muyil

Due to its location close to a lagoon, the Muyil Archaeological site is a must to do in Tulum. Once you finish visiting this archaeological site you can get a boat tour to navigate through the canals that stream directly into the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve. This is a fun activity close to Tulum that you can’t miss!

Chichen Itzá

Chichén Itzá is the most famous archaeological site of the Mayan civilization. Its beautiful constructions, crowned by the grand temple of Kukulkan, make this place worth being nominated as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. It may not be that close to Tulum, but definitely, it’s worth the trip.

Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve

The Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve is a vast, protected territory rich in biodiversity and ecosystems. The entrance to this paradisiac place is at the end of the Tulum hotel zone.
A visit to this almost immaculate area includes:
